I used angelfire to host one of my songs once, and it worked fine. Now, i want to use a file that is a m4a...is that not acceptable? Is there a way to convert it?

Well if they are the ones that are downloaded from iTunes, you can convert them to MP3's using iTunes also. I think you right click the song and there should be an option that says convert to MP3. Not 100% sure though.

QUOTE(inlonelinessidie @ Apr 16 2005, 4:46 PM) Well if they are the ones that are downloaded from iTunes, you can convert them to MP3's using iTunes also. I think you right click the song and there should be an option that says convert to MP3. Not 100% sure though. m4a's and m4p's are music formats used by iTunes. these formats btw can only be played on an ipod or on your computer because they are "protected". to convert them to mp3's you have to burn them to a cd and then rip them back onto your computer. once they've been ripped to your hard drive again they will be in the unprotected mp3 format. i suggest using a cd-rw disc so you don't waste the disc and it can be used multiple times. another way is to use an audio encoder like this one: http://www.tomdownload.com/audio_mp3/mp3_c...3_converter.htm the drawback is you have to purchase the software. ![]() |
