so basically whenever i maximize my internet explorer window thing a bunch of stuff on the left side shifts around and sometimes overlaps, depending on where the scrollbar location is.

i used the position:absolute already, but the content on the left is in tables not div...would that make a difference if i changed it to div?
and also, what's a z-index? |
