I wanted to get your thoughts on something i thought was interesting
There a magazine at Boston University that is called "Boink" its a college porno (well more erotic than porno) mag that features college students. here an snippet from mtv news: "Last month, Boston University students launched Boink, a "sex positive" magazine produced by undergraduate students that features real co-eds in nothing but their birthday suits. Created by and for students, the magazine (plugged as "Real College Porn for Real College Students") comes straight on the heels of the sex-themed Harvard publication H Bomb as well as the sexuality- and sexual-health-oriented Vassar mag Squirm. "We wanted Boink to represent college and all that college is," said senior Alecia Oleyourryk, a journalism major and the magazine's editor in chief. Aside from the erotic photography, the magazine also features sex-themed articles, advice, fiction and humor. And, Oleyourryk added, "It's for all sexual orientations and people of all different colors, races and preferences." -Taken from MTV NEWS what are your thoughts? for all those college students or soon to be college students would you embrace this type of magazine at your school? |

no, i don't think this should be done.
college students wishing to have porno taken of them can go to playboy. college students wishing to 'read' porno can buy playboy. likewise, all college newspapers should be banned, as if college students wish to write, they can write for the new york times, and if they wish to read, they can read the times. in addition; colleges should not have thier own laboratories, nor theaters, or anything of the sort. |

QUOTE(sadolakced acid @ Apr 14 2005, 2:57 PM) no, i don't think this should be done. college students wishing to have porno taken of them can go to playboy. college students wishing to 'read' porno can buy playboy. likewise, all college newspapers should be banned, as if college students wish to write, they can write for the new york times, and if they wish to read, they can read the times. in addition; colleges should not have thier own laboratories, nor theaters, or anything of the sort. I support their right to have a porn mag that focuses on the girls of the university. It would be a lot easier for a girl to get in the latest spread of 'Boink' than it would for her to be in 'Playboy.' And as for the students that are intereted in the magazines themselves, don't you think they'd be a bit more interested in reading (gawking) about a girl that might be in one of their classes or live in their same hall? College newspapers, despite the politics and the bullshit they call ethics, are a good start to learning the system. Your writing can get scouted as if you were playing sports and big name newspaper could request your services. Better yet, if you already have the prerequisite with journalism, you're more likely to land a job on major area newspaper. Whats your beef with colleges? |
