anybody here play basketball? I started playing near the end of February cuz my friend got me to play ball n I got addicted to it..I can see progress the more i play/practice.
Does anybody have any tips that would help a new player tho? Like whenever I drive it in, I always get muff'd..lmao. Anyway to protect the ball while driving it in? Any help is appreciated. Or any exercises or drills that could help on ball handling? I honestly used to hate basketball until my friend got me to try it n he helped me out. I guess u should try everything out, cuz u never know if u'll like it loll. |

Make sure your dribbling low to the ground, by or below your knees. Also make sure you switch hands if needed when driving in, not necessarily a crossover, because those can be tricky sometimes. Before you're driving in, if your opponent is really close to you, put one of your hands out and dribble with the other to shield the basketball.
Exercise drills-->definitely dribble the ball with one hand 50-100 times then dribble with the other hand the same amount of times. Try crossovers by yourself, imagining an opponent is right in front of you. Hopefully something I just said will help. |
