I have been using Yahoo's Geocities for quite some time now, ever since the day I learned my first piece of HTML. Right now, however, Geocities is frustrating me. They used to have their advertising in a little popup window that was very easily closed... but now they contain their advertising in a sidebar which can be minimized, but not closed.
Not too alarming, but it messes with some of my div layering  So... I'm wondering if any of you know of a good, free (very important) webhosting site. Also, If at all possible, I'm wanting one with it's own FTP built in, like Geocities. Easy upload. I know it can be googled, but you can't exactly get "oh, this website really worked for me," or "NO, that one was STUPID!" from a search engine! Thanks :D |
