Yes, I had to announce this to everyone. Today is the National Day Of Silence. Basically, people around the United States keep silent today to express how many gays/lesbians/bis/transexuals all over the United States feel from hiding their sexuality.
I hope each of you are kind and openminded enough to participate in this. Random Fact: About 4 out of 5 gays/lesbians/bis get harassed everyday. Thank you. --Jordan |

I did it. I didn't talk the entire school day. My parents made me talk after that. Nrgh. Well, 7 hours is pretty good.
I don't emphasize on equality for gays and lesbians. Today I stuck a sign on my shirt saying "Freedom for all", to show just what I was silent for. Also, for those who don't know what the point of the silence is: It represents all the voices that no one listens to (ex: gays and lesbians), and how different the world would be if they were all gone. |
