absolute value is really easy! it is just the distance the number is from 0. here are some examples:

|4| = 4
the absolute value of 4 is 4.

|384784| = 384784
the absolute value of 384784 is 384784.

|-74| = 74
the absolute value of negative 74 value is 74.

get it?
