They are the creators, but they don't actually write dialouge/direct/etc. For example: Conan O'Brian wrote a number of episodes for The Simpsons. But of course, the creators must agree with what is writen and give it the Okay...And showrunners also take a pig part in this. You have to think of ALL the people involved in creating these cartoons. You can't give all the credit to those two people. If it werent for some of the genious writers, The Simpsons might not even be on TV today. I think what Shortiiex meant was that some of the people that are hired to write for Seth McFarlane have written for Matt Greoning. And that is true. |
