Dreams
You shoot down my dreams, Telling me that it's not all it seems. You tell me that "here" is my life, I rather die by the knife. I don't understand what you want from me, I don't understand the dream that you see. I can't hold onto something that wasn't there, It doesn't seem to be fair. Life has caught up to me, This is who you want me to be. Can you tell that I'm confused? Alone and feeling totally used? Is this all that I am to you? I wish that I knew. It wouldn't hurt so bad, It wouldn't drive me so mad. |
