I hate this me...a woman scorned, the old crone who hides herself from life. Hands permanently procuring those knitting needles. The needles I used to scare you away. I threatened to stab you in the heart, the same way that you did to me. The searing knife of betrayal singed me soul, to leaving it whimpering in the wake. To see your face everyday is to die a thousands deaths. I watch you strut around like a stallion who mounted the fairest mare. And I, the discarded ass who taints the very ground upon which you stride. I shall forever look upon you from my portico and remember how I was cast aside to remain in the shadow while you bask in the glow. I want to thank you for reminding me of how far removed I am from the world. I'll remember it always.
