a music genre, short for emotional.
here is an incorrect version of the word emo: my boyfriend broke up with me so i'm being emo. my report card was bad so i am emo. but i'd rather nobody use the word at all. because emo screamo can usually just be called screamo. it's not so essential to the language. i'm not even going to start into what bands are and what bands aren't. i get pissed off easily when they say bands that i don't consider emo are, so i'm going to keep my mouth shut.
