I think this is the place to put this I guess? Okay so I got an issue with photoshop I always seem to have it for some reason. But here is the deal, everytime I want to make a new image with photoshop it says that it's locked and I can't work on it.
Or when I open a picture and want to use the brush it wont work at all. The brush is set to normal and everything but it doesn't work. Nothing I try to do to the image works cause the thing is locked. So I was wonder what can I do so I'm able to work again? Thanks |

OK. So wait, are you OPENING an already made picture (set as .gif and .jpg and stuff)? Because if so, OF COURSE it's not going to work! lol. You can't paint, erase, or anything like that on that picture. Photoshop automatically locks it, or that's what happens to me. The thing to do is, select the image (w/ the rectagular select too) and then copy it (or copy merged, if it has it) and then go to file, and create a new file. Then paste the iamge you copied there. THEN you go and crop or paint on that.
You can't alter an already made image on Photoshop. It doesn't let you. You can only alter it IF you saved it as .psd file or some photoshop file. Otherwise, you can't do anything to it. BUT, you can copy it and paste it on a new blank file and then you can alter it and save it as something else. Hope that helped. |
