The spanish language is really starting to relate to todays world in everything.. im not sure if all that makes sense but.. life as we know it is starting to be influenced by other nations.. do you think that it is mandatory or neccesary to learn foreign languages in school? why..?

I took a language for 3 years because we had to. Then for the last 2 years we got to decide if we wanted to do language or not. Majority of people didn't. I don't think it should be mandatory, should be to the individual if they want to learn another language and to be honest. In them 3 years of learning french. I only know a few words
School's a bad enviroment for learning that kind of stuff.
