another year... another chance? Options

the guy i like this year happens to be the same guy i liked last year.

the thing is... last year, towards the end of spring semester, he started acting like a complete a-hole. i didn't know why... he just did.

this year, it seems all different. he's so nice and sweet and it's like he's a completely different person. my friends keep telling me that i have a really good chance with him. i asked him in the beginning of the year if he ever heard a rumor that i liked him last year, and he said "no".

that turned out to be a lie. his friend told me that he knew ever since after spring break... and i believe him.

so... last year, i liked him, he found out, and he started being a complete ass.

this year... i like him again... he doesn't know. he hasn't changed, i haven't changed... do you think if he finds out, he'll act like an idiot again? that's probably a sign that he doesn't like me at all. should i just give up completely on him?

well..people do change...and guys are weird. So I say just be friends with him and see what happens. I know there guys I couldnt help but like...that I could never get with, but are all still to this day, great friends of mine. So I say make that your priority...good friendships last a long time. Also, I know guys that when they like a girl, and people know of a different girl that likes him, he kinda wants to push that away so the girl he has feelings for doesnt think hes taken. So he probably wasnt trying to be mean, just trying to help himself out, and guys sometimes forget how that makes us feel.
