pop-ups, .. help? |

i have no idea where this goes, but here's the story.. i was doing some research on the internet for school when i got a virus from some stupid website. don't you love that? i spent around 5 hours trying to get it out.. and i'm pretty sure i did.
here's the problem.. even when i'm not browsing the internet, i still get pop-ups. i have zone alarm, ad-aware, and i have a pop up blocker from the google toolbar. no help. do you guys know anything that'll get rid of these pop-ups? thanks. and if this is in the wrong place, i'm sorry. i just didn't know where this should go. |

Well... it's most likely spyware/adware... you could search for a popup blocker but be careful, they tend to be an easy way to get spyware and popups. Could you run a HijackThis scan for us? Download it at download.com. it will tell you every change that has occured in Internet Explorer, and it'd would help me determine the best approach on this problem.
