another year... another chance? Options

the guy i like this year happens to be the same guy i liked last year.

the thing is... last year, towards the end of spring semester, he started acting like a complete a-hole. i didn't know why... he just did.

this year, it seems all different. he's so nice and sweet and it's like he's a completely different person. my friends keep telling me that i have a really good chance with him. i asked him in the beginning of the year if he ever heard a rumor that i liked him last year, and he said "no".

that turned out to be a lie. his friend told me that he knew ever since after spring break... and i believe him.

so... last year, i liked him, he found out, and he started being a complete ass.

this year... i like him again... he doesn't know. he hasn't changed, i haven't changed... do you think if he finds out, he'll act like an idiot again? that's probably a sign that he doesn't like me at all. should i just give up completely on him?

i have made an observation among (immature) guys that goes something like this: when a(n) (immature) guy likes a girl he feels the need to pick on them so they get mad and hit him back because who doesnt want the person they like to be pyssed at them?

prolly has nothing to do with you since you two are older than me but i know its true where i live and im hoping its not where you live. but maybe last year he found out you liked him and he was too embarrassed to tell you how he felt so he was just a complete douchebag so youd get mad at him and hit him. and if thats the case then i say dont go out with him because you may like him a lot but hes still immature, and to be honest, i dont like immature guys. and if hes not immature then he wouldn't have been a complete douchebag for no reason other than he liked you, which makes him just a complete douchebag with no excuses.

so when all is said and done......i say you need to slap yourself in the face a few times to come to your senses and see how immature he was/is and try to get over him. i say give up on him. hope everything works out alright
