i wanted to get some opinions on downloading music illegally from the internet. Does it really hurt the artists or just the music industry? Also, should it be legal. I'd love to know what you think.

if everyone began to download music illegally (which many do), then people would stop buying music which hurts the recording company because well, they wouldn't earn any money.

QUOTE(AzNxJenny91 @ Apr 4 2005, 3:26 PM) if everyone began to download music illegally (which many do), then people would stop buying music which hurts the recording company because well, they wouldn't earn any money. and if record labels didn't charge so much for cds they would sell a lot more. they could probably cut cds prices down to inbetween $5 to $8 a piece and still make a fortune, but their greed stops them from doing that. if cds were that cheap, i would be buying a lot more. |
