I know that there are probably other threads about this (and other subjects which I wish to debate), but the search showed me that alot of those threads are dead, and you can't search for 3 letter words like 'god'.
So in my newbie nature, I ask this: Is there meaning to life, or are we created from luck. Are we mortal creatures striving for order in a universe of disarray, or are we in a comfortable engineered niche. Please don't post about how I should use the search button (which I did), and just reply about your thoughts about this :). Oh, and sorry if I this topic is not allowed (the god thread was locked it looks like). |

In order for the universe to be created for us, it must be created. That means you must believe in Creation. And if one argues that it is created for us, I would ask why, then, do natural disasters occur as they have the power to destroy human lives. More simply put: why be created for us, yet has the power to devastate us? (One of the many questions I have.)
In order for the universe to come about existing and we, by chance or chemical reactions... whatnot, inhabits it, there's a good chance that we're talking about evolution. If our existence revolves around the universe, that would put much emphasize on the question of why. Perhaps, it can go as far as questioning God's existence and His plan. It would make sense to say that this topic has more to do with creation and evolution than you realize. |
