this irritates me to no end.

firstly: something like a song cannot be gay. it doesnt love other male songs

secondly: to use teh word 'gay' as an insult is not only ridiculous, but offensive. if soemone went around saying 'black' everytime something bad happened, they would be yelled at like theres no tommorow. why should 'gay' be any different

please dont use it, its offensive, uneccessary, and makes you look like a cretin

Personally I don't think saying something is gay is derragotory towards homosexuals, keyword being "something" but saying someone is gay with the intent to insult said person is bad but that has to do with the fact that it was meant to be insulting and slanderous.

saying something is bad is the same thing

it implies that being gay is a negative thing, to be associateed with dislike and discontent
as to what i can do? big scale, nothing. within my group of friends, yell at them until they stop it.

Exactly. Like, my teacher for instance. Hes homosexual. When someone in his class lets something like "thats gay" slip, (since most people know hes homosexual, it doesn't happen very often) but he says, define "gay" and they realize what they've said, and that its stupid, so, that has made a lot of people in my school watch what the say. Espically around him.
