Looking back at the faded memories
A longing in my burdened heart pulls me under
Drowning me in my own image
As I try hard to reflect back but
I can’t taste the bliss anymore
Can’t recall my feelings anymore
Long forgotten the fragrances
Overlooked the eagerness too
Or maybe it just faded away into the new refreshing air
Words are over and done
All that remains of it is its emptiness
I can’t withdraw the conversations from my psyche either
But I remember undoubtedly-
The characters and their parts, which are now long altered
I still remember the joy not the flowing pain
And I learned by heart your extraordinary ways
That I’ve merely been blinded by
I don’t remember how shivering cold I was in the winter
Or how heavy my heart felt last summer
Not even how hard it was to breathe holding back tears
And alas hardly how you made smile without a reason
All I want to treasure in my heart are the many moments when
You made me feel so beautiful
-A hard to catch dream that’s drifting afar
Nostalgic for the bygone days
For the one reason that my todays aren’t as pleasant
As they were when we look so deeply in each other’s eyes
And that I miss you
Miss you so much that each day that past, another part of me dies
But still I am hopeful for my tomorrows
Because maybe, just maybe
The hollowness would be filled once again,
Someday
