I know that there are probably other threads about this (and other subjects which I wish to debate), but the search showed me that alot of those threads are dead, and you can't search for 3 letter words like 'god'.
So in my newbie nature, I ask this: Is there meaning to life, or are we created from luck. Are we mortal creatures striving for order in a universe of disarray, or are we in a comfortable engineered niche. Please don't post about how I should use the search button (which I did), and just reply about your thoughts about this :). Oh, and sorry if I this topic is not allowed (the god thread was locked it looks like). |

what this person is asking (although he/she was very ambiguous about it) is:
are we created for specific purposes? i.e. Christians would argue that they were created to praise the Lord and spread His word. er.. i think that's what you're asking? please be a little more straight-forward next time and target a specific question that you have. i think that society and individuals assign "social roles" to each person throughout the course of his or her life. meaning is created through the gradual development of one's life. experience, relationships, etc. all piece together to form one's "role" or "meaning" in life. |
