You want me to wait for you, But I can't wait forever. You ask me when is a good time, My cry is, "The day after never!" Forever and a day passes, Still I am not yet yours. People pass me by, Asking "What are you waiting for?" No one understands this life, Or why I choose it to hate. People don't understand what it's like, To be told just to wait. I'm sick of waiting, I've done my share of crying. I'm giving up this dream, Get on with my life or die trying. If you loved me like you said, I wouldn't be this far gone. If you needed me truly, Waiting wouldn't feel so wrong. I need you to wait for me, I've waited my whole life for you. Do you understand now? To your own word are you true? Never expect someone to wait forever, It hurts too much in the end. You've got to let them go, Your heart will be forever stuck on mend. |
