Okay, so I've always been one to leave tampons in for a verrryy long time on the last days of my period, one time over 24 hours. Naturally, I've always been a little paranoid that I may get TSS or something some day. Well, I've been feeling really under the weather lately, and I just randomly decided to look up the symptoms for TSS because that area has been feeling really uncomfortable lately.
Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) Toxic shock syndrome from Staphylococcus starts suddenly with vomiting, high fever (temperature at least 102 degrees Fahrenheit, or 38.8 degrees Celsius), a rapid drop in blood pressure (with lightheadedness or fainting), watery diarrhea, headache, sore throat, and muscle aches. Within 24 hours, a sunburn-like rash appears. There also may be bloodshot eyes and an unusual redness under the eyelids or inside the mouth (and vagina in females). On days 3 and 4 of the illness, broken blood vessels may appear on the skin. Other symptoms may include: confusion or other mental changes; decreased urination; fatigue and weakness; thirst; weak and rapid pulse; pale, cool, moist skin; and rapid breathing, leading to shock. Does anyone know if it's possible to have a milder kind? I have a lot of these symptoms but mild. I've been feeling really nauseous, getting headaches, have a sore throat and cough, my eyes are really red and bloodshot and itchy, I have a couple random bruises on my arms, I've been really out of it, and yeah...now I'm just even more paranoid. I know I'm probably being an idiot, but still...is it possible to have a mild, less dangerous type? |

Oh snaps that's not a good sign. And I already knew what TSS is because my friend experienced the same situation as you did too. But she got healed because she went to the doctor right away. She forgot to change her tampons, she wore it like 2 days straight. She started puke, getting sore throats, sweaty palms, leg pain.. all sorts of stuff.
You should really check with the doctor and dont freaking be lazy about it because you can DIE from it. And if you dont want to die, do what you gotta do. Go to the doctor right now before it's too late. |
