*sighs*
Is it necessary to have so many threads related to cutting? I'll explain it the best that I can from my experiences... Once you've broken down to the point of cutting, it doesn't hurt you while you're doing it. It gives you a rush. It makes you feel alive for a few minutes. It helps you feel better after you think you've hit rock bottom. After doing it for a while, it becomes almost an addiction. It becomes a habit. It becomes part of your daily rituals. It's hard to quit. Most people cut because the physical pain feels better than the emotional pain they're currently going through. Some people cut for the hell or it and some people cut for attention. The people I'm talking about in my post are people that have broken down to the point of it. I'm not talking about attention whores or people that like blood. Each situation is slightly different from another. People have their own personal reasons for doing so. Examples: family issues, friend issues, dating issues, grades, death, sexual relationships gone wrong, etc., etc. It's really hard to explain. I don't even know why I chose to start. There was a lot of shit building up in my life and I seemed to think it would be a way out. It's usually a spur of the moment type of choice. I'll stop boring you. *end of post* |
