of course, those of you who have gf/bf probably say yes...
however; think a second... it it really love? can teenagers who don't really know what love is, feel love? would you die if your bf/gf died? like in romeo and juliet, an 'example' of teenaged love? and also, is it ok to say 'i love you' if all you really feel is like, lust, infatuation, or fondness? |

But what you posted, I'm guessing that you think teenage love is different from.. adult love? How can we possibly pinpoint exactly what separates teenage love and adult love?
Maybe I have different views because I consider myself to be IN LOVE. But I might never truly know if what I feel is love. But whatever I have with my significant other right now seems the closest thing to love that I've ever felt.. It's stronger than the "love" I feel for my family, amazingly. It's true that at times it seems like infatuation/lust/fondness, but I'm ready to call what I feel to be "love". But who truly is in love? How do you know that adults aren't just infatuated? There's no real way to truly define love, even if the dictionary gives us a definition for it... For everyone it's different. It just depends if we're all willing to admit that it is love, to call it love, etc. I have my first love now.. and my love for him is still going strong Although, usually I believe that love comes both ways--from each person in the relationship, I mean--but, at times, I feel like I'm on my own about love... As if my boyfriend might not truly love me as I thought he did. Sometimes I wonder about that.. And it makes me feel sick when I think about it. :/ |
