Well this past 4 months my brother built me my new computer witch is super fast but there is a problem with the internet. I have a wireless card witch I can get wireless internet but I dont want that. I am right next to the modem and the router so might as well use a wire. But when I plug the wire into the place where you plug it in. no internet.
I think there is supose to be a light that comes out of the tip of the plug but no light when I plug it in. My other brother has the same motherboard and has no problems with the internet. So is there anything you guys/gals can do to help me? the reason why I want to use a wire is bc the wireless card can only get me 12 mps but a wire can get me 100. which means a lot faster =] so if any of you can help me. ppplease I beg you =] any settings I have to change or something im doing wrong? Thanks |

It looks like your wireless control panel is trying to overide the normal LAN configuration. I notice that you have a D-Link icon in your icon tray. Just right click that, and look for a way to disable it. Do the two moniters in the icon tray blink? Also, if it still doesn't work after disabling wireless, right click the LAN icon > hit Repair.
