I’M SCARED We’ve had this talk so many times I know it off by heart But no matter how many times we live through it It still tares me apart You branded in my skin the digits Of every tragic date You and I have an endless cycle A perpetual stalemate I want it to end But I need to hold you I’M SCARED I’m scared to let this happen again. Again. Again. I’M SCARED I’m scared to let you in again To feed what bites my hand You’re the teacher of the lesions I refuse to learn Do I dare relight the fire that has Scarred me with these burns? To spark this conflagration That destroys all I’ve brought up? Traumatized by passion Scared to ever love again! I need it to end But I want to hold you I’M SCARED! I’m scared to let this happen again Again. Again. I’M SCARED! I’m scared to let you in again To feed what bit my hand |
