tongue piercings Options

hmm..i couldnt really find a place to put this..soooo..i decided here would be good..haha..i was just wondering if any of you have or want a tongue piercing..

if you have one..did it hurt and how long did it take to heal??

if you want one..whats stopped you from getting it??

i really want one, but im afraid that its gonna hurt real bad..and if you think about it..if it can close within 2 hours..thats your body telling you that theres not supposed to be a hole there..but i still want it done

well its supposed to be swollen for about a week and a half or so..i was reading about it online and have talked to some friends and they say..

"It usually takes four to six weeks for the piercing to completely heal, but your tongue will swell dramatically during the first couple days. Fret not -- apply ice and drink plenty of water. Don't smoke, don't kiss, rinse with warm salt water, and avoid spicy foods. After you've completely healed, you won't notice the piercing at all. It's true."

and yeah..i`ve thought about infections too..which is another reason im scared..LoL i hate it when ppl do that too..when its like..almost at the tip of their tongue..haha
