It's been 4 months since my ex bf broke it off with me...and we haven't had any contact with each other since then.
But...yesterday being my birthday, he messaged me and said happy birthday to me...does this mean anything? Added to the fact that I didn't expect him to remember my birthday, least of all say Happy Birthday to me. Does it mean that he still wants to be friends with me...or does it just mean that he was being nice? (Note: when he broke up with me, he did say that maybe we can be friends one day...) Or am I thinking too much on this? Any opinions greatly appreciated.

he was probably being nice bc he remembered it was ur birthday.. meaning he didn't ferget about you.. which is a good thing and maybe he wants to be friends with you. that's also a good thing but don't overreact on this & think he wants to get back with you or anything..
