Dying,
Bleeding,
Sweeping the remnants of my shattered heart,
Off of the bedroom floor.
Sweeping what's left of our love,
Out through the front door.
You left me crying,
Abandoned,
Ignored,
Burning pictures of inaccurate memories,
That couldn't possibly be true.
Burning pictures in a shrine,
That adulated you.
You left me resentful,
Spiteful,
Sardonic,
Murdering my infatuation with romantics,
And throwing it out to the sea.
Murdering my own innocence,
To make it easier for you to fathom me.
You left me unprepared,
Unalert,
Derelict,
Reaching out in a carnal manner,
To anyone who would take me in.
Reaching out to Mephistopheles,
Living without redemption, in eternal sin.
You left me deplorable,
Contemptible,
Appalling,
Forgetting how this came to pass,
No longer knowing what it was you wanted.
Forgetting what I never knew,
Because I was just the girl you taunted.
