Have you seen Etneral Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey (this is his most serious and best played role) and Kate Winslet? Personally this is my ALL time favorite movie, and I've never had an all time favorite anything.
Here's the synopsis: Typical boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, girl gets bored of boy and erases her memory of the boy. Boy gets pissed and erases his memory of girl to spite her. If you've seen the movie what did you think of it? What do you think it's about? If you haven't... go watch it now!!! I just realized this is a lot like crazy Alice and Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass thing, so if you like that kind of movie this might interest you.
