(this is a little long and confusing)
so earlier this week, we had to choose what electives we want for next year (9th grade, start of high school). they talked about what classes you needed to graduate. i decided to not take orchestra next year (i'm not really into it anymore. too troublesome) so i thought i'd try yearbook. i figured all the spots would have been taken already, but i put it anyway. my second choice was Hype and Flash- arts and computer arts, then orchestra 3rd as a sort of last resort.
Since yearbook was probably already taken, i would probably get art. so i got my mom to sign it and turned it in today (deadline). so my dad just hears about this and starts practically shouting at me to change it because i cant graduate without one year of arts/music. the form said yearbook was considered art!!! and he does NOT understand that i probably wont get it anyway!!! he's telling me to go ask my counselor if it's considered art or not, and if it is, it's fine. yet he's still practically SCREAMING at me about it!!! UGGH (there isn't any face that can show how mad i am)

srry this was kind of just a rant...

does anyone have any problems with your parents like this?

well thats just stupid. just tell him that yearbook is an art and you can use that to graduate too. and yeah, my dad is even worse. i cant to anything like spend the night at my friends houses. i used to be able to, but since i hit 14, he said its inappropriate to spend the night with friends. like i'm sleeping around?? which really doesnt make any sense.
