I forgot to register to take mine plus i'm too broke to even pay the fee.

for those who already took either one of them, was it reall hard? what did you think of it. would you recommend studying or would that just be a waste of time cuz none of the stuff is even on there.

j/w. i'll prolly fail mine.

i was taught that community colleges are for dumb people who couldn't get into harvard or yale.

kidding, but what are the benefits of a community college? (besides cheaper and closer)

the benefits of a community college isn't just cost and closeness. it's the ratio of student to teacher. at my university, you are LUCKY if you get a class that is smaller than 200 students, SMALLER. at a community college, you will NOT get a class LARGER than 30 kids. That is useful when you are taking classes that requires attention from the teacher and you NEED to pay attention and to understand what is going on, and you can't do that when you are in a theater class room that seats 400-600 students.

ANYWAYS, on to the thread:

Check with your school to see if there is a late registration date. You may have to pay extra which I understand is tough but it gives that push over to get you in. Also, if you know what school you are going to apply to, check their requirements because some schools don't require SAT and ACT scores. I'm not suggesting you nto to take them, I'm saying if it isn't required don't get yourself all worked up if it won't affect your college experience. If it is required and your community college doesn't, I'd suggest going to a CC for say a year, (it's still has the same courses as a university, just isn't so ... crowded) and save up the money. It also can be benefical when you take that test because you may have taken the courses that you will be tested on the SAT or ACT.
The SAT and ACT has been changed since I took it over 4 years ago, but oh well. Do take the tests that is offered at your school or the library. You'll be surprised at how they can be helpful. SAT looves to have analagies, so study up on your vocabulary. Either way, good luck! Don't pressure yourself to much, your score will not dictate your entire life.
