Do you know anyone who has cancer? Have you known someone who died because of cancer? Do you know any cancer survivors? Share your experience. I'm participating in a fundraiser called Relay For Life which raises funds for cancer research and such. I just wanted to know what y'all experienced because of this disease to give me a better sense of what I'm raising money for and to also give me more motivation.

My aunt has Leukemia; has had it for as long as I can remember, probably close to a decade now. She's been in and out of remission alot; though I know her faith in God has probably kept her strong and alive throughout all of this.
It's amazing the treatments Doctors and Scientists have thus far created to help her and others out. It's also amazing the amount of other people that have leukemia, and other cancers. I never realized, when I was younger, until my aunt would tell me stories of all the survivors she had met, and also stories about victims. |
