ok, I know plenty of people ask this but w/e
I have this one friend named jake and we always hang out with eachother after school, basically hes a goof, but I always seem to see him looking at me and then look away when I see him, he's always trying to hug me and when we're on the bus he's really nice, if I look sad he's always asking whats wrong and pushing my hair out of my face, but since he's such a goof I don't know if he's just being weird or my friend or something else...also the fact that sometimes he flirts with this one girl by me all the time confuses me  ...what do you people think? |

It seems that he gives you a lot of attention, and the fact that he looks away whenever you notice him noticing you(hehe) shows that he likes looking at you(duh) and is afraid that you might not like it...My opinion is that he likes you, but is also afraid of what you might think about it. He seems to be a very close friend, and maybe he is confused and afraid about a possibility of a wrecked friendship? But only with good communication can good friendship be sustained...so go ahead and ask him...casually would be a safe way to start...see how he takes it. If he is suddenly serious then you know he likes you...being the goofball that he normally is. If not...you can wait for a while then gently probe him again... As for the flirting with that girl beside you...i don't think he likes her...normally goofballs flirt just for the fun of it...but what i love about them is that when they get serious, oh boy, do they get serious! I can just melt right now! Anyway, he's doing probably to see how you react to it...maybe it's his way of finding out whether you like him or not! So plucker up some courage and ask him...no point brooding over it and regretting it everyday...hehe...just think about it carefully...and do what you yourself want to do! All the best!
