Recently I've been contemplating getting birth control for some personal reasons, but I'm kind of stuck as far as which I should use.
If any of you use any of these forms, let me know how well they work, and if they're within a decent price-range, and any other helpful information. 1. the Pill 2. the Shot 3. the Nuva Ring 4. the Patch Personally, I'm stuck between the shot and the nuva ring. I'm not sure I could remember to take the pills, and well, the Patch seems a bit sketchy, but eh. who knows. |

Don't go on the Patch. I was on it for about two months, but I didn't have sex when I was on it. I just didn't feel like it was going to work. And it leaves sticky patches on your skin. They fell off when I swam, too.
I'm on the Pill right now. I didn't think I'd remember them either. But after about a week it was just a natural thing for me. I'm still on them now- they work just fine. My mom was on the shot. She didn't get her period or anything. But it took about 3 years for her period to come back after she went off it. So I guess it could delay your ability to become pregnant once you stop taking it? I'd like to stop the pill and try the Nuva Ring. Just because it's >99% effective. But I don't know if I really want something IN my body like that. |
