okay i'm going to try again.
I am doing a debate in Social Studies about the War of 1812. i have to debate on the Federalist side saying that the War of 1812 was bad for America. **please give me all your thoughts on why the war was bad for america**~please don't move this to homework because i am doing an actual debate on it. the other side is the Republican side saying that the war of 1812 was necessary for America. my social studies teacher sees everything in the world as a debate so please just give me your ideas instead of giving me a hard time~

war of 1812

BAD
-it's a waste
-nobody wins (but you can say that the americans barely won because of the battle in new orleans)
-the british's impressment didn't stop
-a loss of money and human lives

GOOD
-americans gained their patriotic pride
-gained respsect from the european countries
-finally realized not british's territory anymore
-national anthem
