i was just thinking about this cuz some people praise/worship some movies even though they aren't really that good.. some of them are even horrible! (take for example "chicago" and "kill bill, vol. i)

here is a list of how i grade/critique a movie...
1. acting
2. plot/story
3. ability to draw in audience
4. story pace
5. character development
6. filming/cinematography
7. reality level (depending on genre)

these are just a couple of the basic ones i guess...

oh..! also, if you wanna put down like a list of movies you think people praise for no good reason.. that'd be great..! hehe..

here's a short list of mine...
1. kill bill, vol. i
2. chicago
3. the alamo
4. the harry potter series!!!!!!!!!
5. underworld (stupid fake vamps!)
6. amelie
7. swimming pool
8. 13
9. swim fan
10. star wars series!!!!!!!!!!! (must.. kill... them... ALL!!!!!!!!!!!)

yup.. that's about it... (i'm sorry if i'm offending anyone out there.. i just feel that people are praising the wrong movies!!!)

i would agree with ur list of "no good movies".... with the exception of kill bill, duh.... _dry.gif can u further explain ur reasons for putting it on the "no good" list? r u saying that it didn't have a good story? good acting? or the "ability" to draw audiences in? you didn't really say WHY the movie wasn't worth praising.

i would also challange the "reality level" part of ur list... we watch movies to escape reality, and if u want something more "real," y watch movies?
