Anyone read the play?
Well I need to write a personal essay on the play. I'm not sure what to write about. I was thinking of how Willy and Happy are soo focused on impressions/popularity and reputations and how I could relate that todays world and how much appearance means to everyone. I was also thinking of relating that to how much influence society and media has on younger teenagers. Anyways, what do you think of my ideas OR do you have any |

Yah I read it... I really liked it. The movie made me cry lOl... the things my teacher pointed out to us is that Willy is living in the past... not able to cope with his present. His character is very prideful and hard working. Willy, Happy, and Biff all live in a dream world where they SAY they are gonna do stuff but then they dont... only till the end does Biff realize that he's been dreaming the whole time. Happy always tries getting his fathers attention even though it proves that he doesnt exactly crave to be loved by his father since he left him at the diner. Willy's definition of success is to be well liked which ironically he isnt. All of the movie represents the American Dream (willy being the american dream itself) and how it seemed to be diminishing and not enough people were following their dreams... And his death represents the death of it. >.< sorry thats about all i remember lol... good luck
