My best friend just sent me an e-mail saying how she thinks she's in love because she keeps thinking about him (the word 'him' is bolded & in italics which is really annoying), misses him over the weekend, blah, blah, blah. She ends this letter asking me what I think. I said I think it's just hormones, but you never know. Now all of a sudden she's angry at me. She says I'm clueless.
    So my questions for you people are: a)Is she really in love? b)What did I do? c)Am I really that clueless? Help me! She's not really a bad friend...she's just kind of caught up. |

no one can say whether or not she is in love because no one knows what she is feeling. Yeah, maybe shes young, but that doesnt mean that shes not in love. Love doesnt come with an age. Love is a feeling that one or two people feel about another. Maybe she loves him as much as a girl her age could love. I know I am in love. Yeah I am 18 years old and maybe i dont know what "TRUE" love is yet, but I know that the feelings i have for my boyfriend are feelings that i have never felt before and it is the most wonderful feeling in the world. Thats what I think love is at this very moment because like i said, I am 18 years old, and I never have felt this way before, so as much as an 18 year old girl can love, I love him. Maybe she feels the same way about him.
You didnt do anything wrong tho. You told her what you thought and you were honest about it. If she was gonna get upset because she didnt hear what she wanted to hear, then she shouldnt have asked. And no, you arent clueless. You just have a different opinion than her. |
