What do if your friend has basicly been raped? [he hasn't gone inside her - but he forced her to do alot of other stuff; ex: oral].
I'm worried for her because she was shaking & scared to death when she was telling me all the details of it. I was sworn to secrecy but I feel like i need to tell an adult so i can get her some help. what should i do? [edit] thanks guys - I talked to a older student also. She told me to first tell her parents, then accompany her to the hospital or a doctor to have her checked [they didn't have a condom!], then go and tell the police. This is really sad because the guy is a really close friend to her family - especially her brother. In fact, she had a crush on him before she knew what he was about. I warned her that he was way to old for her (shes 14 and hes 20) and that she should be careful expressing her feelings around him, but i guess she didn't take my advice. She also recently cut herself really deep just yesterday, and she might have really hurt herself because she lost alot of blood. Sheesh..this world is so messed up. |

I have been raped. I can't speak for this girl, but I can say what I wish I would have done. I really wish that I would have told an adult. It happened almost 6 years ago, and the only adult that knows is my therapist. My friends didn't know until 2-3 years after it happened. I was so ashamed, but it wasn't someone I knew that did this to me (it kind of sounds like it is for your friend, like you're scared that it will happen again). It was too late for my friends to do anything but be there to talk. I think that you should be there to talk, but tell her that if she won't tell an adult, you will. Let her know that it is all for her. You're not trying to get her into any trouble. She may not be happy with you now, but she WILL thank you someday.
