Effing impersonators, gah! Options

Well, kids. Here's one good reason not to post your pics on the internet. Lately I've been finding my pics scattered on Xanga, Myspace, Finadapix and the like... even Blackplanet!

The funny thing is some of these people don't even bother to adjust their info to match "their pics". They would post my pics and then say they're 13 years old or that they're vietnamese or something. I mean, if you're going to impersonate someone, you might as well try to be believeable and adjust your info. Like this chick who tries to come off as a total sleaze using my pic!?!?

Oh yeah, and one chick IMed me once accusing ME of being the fake and that she knew some chick who has been posting pics of herself on findapix for a while... and then she found the same pics on my Myspace. She demanded I remove my pics or she would report me to her friend who would take "legal" action. So her friend and her friends actually had the nerve to IM me telling me I was the fake. I was like, 'eff it, i don't have time for this' and had her account shut down. There's no telling how many other accounts on other sites she may have created since then using my pics.

I've had to go through great lengths to get these accounts shut down. I worry that people I may actually know in person will find these accounts thinking they're really me and judge me based on these impersonators.

I've removed a lot of my pictures from the internet since then, and have refrained from posting new ones for this reason. Anyone who doesn't believe that my pictures are real can ask Trish who has met me in person.

I've learned my lesson. I hope that you guys will practice the some precaution when posting your pics.
