music request forum, read it and see Options

If a music request forum ever comes to reside here on cB, I have an idea of how it should be set up.

One main forum titled: MUSIC REQUEST
subforums titled as follows:

-Rock: All rock requsts should go here. I was thinking, mainstream rock, punk rock and classic rock only. Stuff like Breaking Benjamin, The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, AC/DC...
-Rap and R&B: The Xanga Help forum gets at least 5 or more of these a week. it should get it's own catagory. Do I really need to define this catagory??
-Asian and Anime: All j-pop, k-pop, anime and other forms of Asian music requests should go here. Stuff like Utada, Anime Themes, etc.
-Pop: NO RAB or R&B requests here. Just pop music. Stuff like Jojo, Lindsey Lohan, Simple Plan
-Emo and Screamo: Request emo and screamo. Stuff like Bright Eyes, Thursday, Dashboard Confessional...
-Metal, Hardcore, and Industrial: Request all harder music here. Stuff like NIN, Slayer, Hatebreed, KMFDM
-Underground: Request underground and hard to find songs of any genre here.

There should also be 2 posts at the top, one that includes links to the best Xanga music sites, music search sites and hosts that allow mp3s and other music files to be stored. Another post would include links to music codes and a FAQ and walkthroughs of how to put music playlists on your Xanga.

the main reason i'm even bringing this up is that i'm tired of seeing requests on the Xanga help board. some people just need a push in the right direction. hey, here's where u can find this song, here's a good site for uploading, blah blah. people need that in an easy to find place, with directions, links to tutorials, and access to people who can help them. it's annoying to see 15 people ask the same question about a playlist as well. if there was a seperate forum or a subforum that dealt ONLY with music, the main help board would be better able to sort the questions and help who needs help.

converting mp3s and uplaoding is all fine and dandy but there's not many places that u can upload mp3s. not all people have the song they're looking for and some people have limited resources when it comes to this sort of thing. some people just need help finding a song, maybe for their xanga, maybe not.
