I've only read some of the manga, but the anime is fabulous! There's not much of a plot line, as opposed to certain anime such as Inuyasha and his never-ending quest to kill Naraku. Things happen spontaneously.
What I like about this anime (and manga) is it's simple drawings, fun background music, and most of all, the character development. At first, not much is explained about each character. But as I went through each episode, I gradually knew more and more about each character. Although some many claim this title as a "shojo," it can still appeal to guys. :] So, has anyone seen it? I just bought the DVD set, but I saw all the episodes online.

I read some of the manga. I only bought the first DVD of it, and I absolutely loved it. The random-ness is what made me love it.

I only have my one cheap DVD. :satisfied: I also thought that the random events that happen in Azumanga Daioh is somewhat interesting and funny. :DD
