i HATE being shy! (and somewhat of a low self image)
there's this guy in my PE class. this past week we've been doing square dancing, and he actually asked to be my partner! ![]() i was kind of trying to stand away from him for some reason. i'm really doubtful if he likes me because 1) he's cute, popular and outgoing. so not like me. and 2) is in 9th grade, and i'm in 8th. i know that most ppl say that popularity doesnt matter, but it always does! he's given me hints, but i'm never sure if i'm just misunderstanding them as just being friendly or his normal goofy self. i'm also worried about if he asks me out. what would i say? it would be a problem to be in different grades, have different friends, not being able to drive... lol. and i dont think i could live up to the "standards" of a girlfriend... *sigh* srry if this doesnt make sense... does anyone else have this problem? ![]() |

well, its good if one of you is outgoing at least. the age difference doesnt really matter. and you can work things out if you guys really like each other. but for now, if you're not sure, just be friendly with him for now. act as if he were your regular guy friend or something. that way you'll open up more to him, and you'll both be more comfortable with each other.
