I think any age is the right age.
My little sister was five when she had her first "boyfriend," which basically consisted of a school-relationship. It was cute, because they always hugged before they went home. Now she's going on 11, and has a boyfriend. I think it's best to start young, because they don't really understand the meaining of a relationship. They're either doing it because a friend made them, or just to be a couple. It's never about sex (or rather, hopefully :X) when you're younger and whatnot. I didn't date seriously until I was sixteen; that being the perfect age for a serious relationship to start. Excluding those who did infact get serious when they were younger, cheers to them. I always thought childhood relationships/soul mates were awesome. |
