okay, yeah, pardon me for being so asian and mindy-like but... which colleges are all of you aspiring to attend and more importantly, why do you want to attend those specific colleges? just trying to figure out what exactly motivates teens toward their proclaimed "dream schools."
edit: seems like a lot of people in our generation are planning to pursue careers in law.. what attracted you guys to the profession? in fact, whatever field you might want to enter, what attracted you to that field? |

...SATs mean much less than grades, and out of school activities. ask any admissions officer.

QUOTE(autumn. @ Feb 28 2005, 3:24 PM) finally, someone realizes this ;o yes, it would be great to have a high score on the sats, but if you've been slacking off for the four years in h.s. do you really think they'll give a damn about your sats? ;o they're looking for "well rounded" people to contribute to the "diversity" in their schools. it's better to be a jack of all trades instead of a master of one thing, in this case... unless you plan to go to a specific college with specific requests (e.g. - juliard). if you have a 4.0 gpa, and you get a 900 tops on your sats, you'll still get accepted into good schools, with scholarships. yes, some iv leagues are picky about sat scores, but if you show you have something that not a lot of their students have, then they'll consider you. |
