School spirit? I'm very anti-school spirit. Our colors are purple and white; therefore I make it a point to wear the opposite (yellow and gold) on official "School Spirit" days. Meh. Our school...sucks. I might have school spirit if all the jocks weren't such jerks and the cheerleaders so typically slutty, but hey, what can ya do. Mmm...my teacher actually offered my best friend and me extra credit if we would wear something other than our normal attire (black), like purple and white one day.
 It made me laugh. Also, in conversations with other schools on the subject of our school mascot, I always manage to emulate chagrin when I tell them that our school mascot is a fighting highlander...in purple.
