Fate

Fate has hands that guide
Who walks on feet that lead
As she would lead all
She has led me to this place –
This room
With walls of crimson red
Mirroring the stains of blood
Along these flats of plaster
Too much like the surrounding of the goings on
In the outside world
The falling of bodies to their knees
Sending destruction on the ground,
Send it rippling through the water
And roaring through the sky
Yet I wonder with words of question
On the tip of my tongue
Still I know better than to ask
To save my breath, for I know
Fate never gives answers for what she does
She does not speak – she never does
An unanswered question it will always remain to me
Whether or not, if she even knows the answers to her actions
Or are they merely guesses we must all trust
This question I will ponder forever
Yet still I am grateful
For her bringing me here
Because I am at this moment at the least
Breating on and continuing to move
She has kept me alive
And under her wing I stay safe
Until she releases me and tells me so
That day I look her in the eyes, and I will know
It is my time to leave.
