I'm posting this up here coz when this was posted in another forum (kpopper) it started a MASSIVE debate. Things were never quite the same for most of us even after the topic was closed because it got really chaotic and people were practically screaming at each other...
So, can you live without love? For me, yes I can definitely live without love. If I lose someone I really love, heck life goes on. You might just freeze right there but time goes on. Nothing stops time. As long as you still breathe, then you are still alive. That is the meaning of being alive to me. Even if a part of you dies when someone you love dies or walks out of your life, you are still alive. You eat, you walk, you feel emotions. I wonder if someone will say they can't live without love... Coz createBlog just seems to be filled with more rasional and maured people. |

I don't really think anyone truly lives without love. I mean, I love drawing. I love my friends. I love my kitties. Shoot, I love all kitties. I love dancing. i love singing. everyone has one little thing they are passionate about. Even if its just living. Some people just love to be alive. Its still a love. So in that sense, I'd have to say no.
--------------------- At the same time, if we mean love to or from another person, then its entirely possible. There are people who have had their entire family and friend turn their backs on them. So then you are without people love. Some would go searchin for it, some would feel they are better off alone. And they may be right. Also, there are those who may live without experiencing love at all. Who maybe were born out in the middle of nowhere and their parents died. Who knows. But they may be all alone and self sufficient and never really experience the love of another. So it depends. QUOTE(ryfitaDF @ Feb 28 2005, 12:16 AM) it depends on what kind of love. if it's the love you get from your family, you can't live without it. if it's the kind you get from somone else, you can, but never want to. And thats not really true. None of my family loves my mother. Before I was born she was turned away and cast out upon, because they are all a bunch of Over Christian hyporcritcal judmental people, and looked down upon my mom for having sex before marriage, and cuz she had a drug problem, and instead of like what a family should do, which is love and support poeple thru their hard times, my family prefers to turn its back and those they feel are beneath them. bUt she lived fine on her own (aka without family, not without friends) for years before I was born. now Lord knows, I love my mom, and she knows that, and her life is so much better now that I'm a part of it, but still, she survived, and it made her stronger. |
